A delegation led by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior has embarked on an official working visit to the areas under the administration of Kalabaydh District.

A delegation led by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the North Eastern State Government, Hon. Ali Ahmed Ali, arrived in the Dhagax-isku-Row area and surrounding communities.

The purpose of the visit was to promote the protection of the environment and livestock grazing lands, as well as to prevent anything that could lead to disputes or conflicts over grazing areas.

The delegation, which included Members of Parliament, the Governor of Sool Region, and the District Commissioner of Kalabaydh, held a meeting with traditional elders, community leaders, intellectuals, and members of the local community. During the meeting, it was agreed that committees would be established specifically to work on the development, protection, and preservation of the environment, while preventing anything that could harm the environment or cause social conflict.

The delegation called on the community to work together to promote peace, stability, environmental protection, and the preservation of grazing lands.

For their part, the traditional elders and community leaders welcomed the Government’s efforts and decision, and pledged to fully cooperate in protecting the environment, maintaining peace, and preventing anything that could lead to disputes or clashes.
