Important meetings have been taking place in Nairobi in recent days to strengthen cooperation in state-building, development, and collaboration between the Federal Government institutions and the Federal Member States of Somalia.
The meetings were attended by the Director General of the Presidency of the North Eastern State Government, Hon. Mohamed Ali Haybe, and the Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Hon. Abdisalaan Iimaan Ali. Also participating were Directors General from the Presidencies of other Federal Member States, Directors General of the Ministries of Interior of the country’s Federal Member States, and organizations supporting development and state-building.
A key focus of the forum was the presentation of the proposed Intergovernmental Institutions Cooperation Law, which is important for strengthening coordination, consultation, and cooperation among government institutions at different levels.
The forum provided an important opportunity for various stakeholders to participate in discussions. It is expected that the consultations and agreements reached will significantly contribute to strengthening state-building, developing government institutions, and improving the quality of services provided to the Somali people.
